The winner of the BBC Asian Network's Film Cafe Awards under the category of the best supporting actor is none other than one of India's most good-looking man - Arjun Rampal.
In terms of nominations reputed journalists from the network select the nominees for these awards, whilelisteners from the BBC Asian Networkcast their votes authentically (strictly once) and choose the winners of the Film Cafe Awards.
The others nominated in the category wereAbhishek Bachchan, Nana Patekar, Kay Kay Menon, and Chunky Pandey.
This public vote and conviction of his fans lead Arjun to beat Abhishek Bachchan by a close margin.
When asked about this win the ever so suave Arjun Rampal gave us his trademark smile and said, "I really don't know what to say except that I was very pleasantly surprised at first because this came out of the blue for me, and now that it has sunk in I am truly humbled by the love and confidence that my fans and well wishers have for me".
"This is truly a confidence booster for me and it encourages me to push myself to work in better films in the future."
Her delightful smile and round sparkling eyes light up the screen. Actor Amrita Arora says she's ready to bounce back again. Former model and VJ-turned actress Amrita Arora has been constantly criticised for having failed to step out of her sister, Malaika Arora's shadow.
After her controversial role in Girlfriend, Amrita almost went into hiatus. Whether it was her breakup with exboyfriend Upen Patel or romance with current boyfriend, cricketer Usman Afzal, Amrita remained in news.
But this time round, Amrita is expecting her career to soar new heights.
"I wanted to try something different, that's the reason I signed Girlfriend, but the feedback was not that good. So, after Girlfriend I gave a serious thought about the kind of films I ought to be doing. I decided to do roles, which would suit my age - bubbly, glamorous and girl-next-door kinda roles. So, overall it is a very good year for me".
"I would like to play a double role like Chaalbaaz and Sita Aur Gita. It is the ultimate test of an actor, where one gets to play contrasting characters at a time".
Quite an interesting list of Bollywood celebrities has been lined up for the closing ceremony of the Commonwealth Games in Melbourne.
The personalities include Aishwarya Rai, Saif Ali Khan, Rani Mukerji, Lara Dutta, Isha Sharvani, Sunidhi Chauhan, Shreya Ghosal, Shankar-Ehsan-Loy and also percussionists Taufiq Quereshi and Sivamani.
Adding some more colors to the event will be 408 dancers from Shaimak Davar’s troupe.
Also, talks are on to make Aamir Khan a part of the event.
Not too much is being revealed about the performance. However, according to sources it will be an eleven minute extravaganza.
The team of Shankar-Ehsaan- Loy have composed a special track titled ‘Chalo Delhi’ for the occasion. The lyrics have been penned by Javed Akhtar. Shaimak Davar will choreograph the entire show
It seems the Sen sister combination of Riya and Raima is not destined to happen. It's final now! Riya Sen is out of 'The Bong Connection'.
Riya, who had re-entered the film (because she could not adjust the dates she had given to Subhash Ghai's film) and made an appearance at the press conference in Kolkata on January 27th, has now been dropped from the project.
Producer Joy Ganguly revealed, "Soon after the conference, Riya shocked us by saying that we should push her dates with us further. We wanted to shoot with her in the US from March 23rd and the entire logistics including the combination dates with other actors, had been worked out."
"She wanted us to shoot with her starting on March 28th because she had to shoot for Mukta Arts Sapna Apna Money Money on those five days. I cannot push the shooting any further. Actually, I was supposed to start with her on March 15th and because of her Mukta Arts commitment, she had promised that she would start on March 23rd. What is the guarantee that she will shoot from March 28th onwards?"
Ganguly says that the production unit called her to inform her that they would have to drop her.
"Riya sent back a message to the director Anjan Dutt and the executive producer Arindam saying that it was okay."
So who will play Riya's role now? "We are zeroing down on a name very soon, but one thing is clear, I need someone who can speak Bengali," the producer says.
Produced under the banner Moxie India, 'The Bong Connection' is 75 per cent in English and the rest in Bengali.
When contacted, Riya said, "Yes, I am not doing 'The Bong Connection'. Mukta Arts is my first priority. And I think I can shoot for 'The Bong Connection' starting on March 26th. If they (Moxie India) cannot adjust the dates for two days, it's their loss."
Ganguly shot back, "We are not at a loss. And I wish her the very best in her future endeavors.
'The Bong Connection' stars Raima Sen, Victor Banerjee, Shayan Munshi and newcomer Param Datta. It is based on the lives of Bengalis living in India, as well as abroad.
Last year's most promising debutant, Vidya Balan, who didn't find one single word of criticism from any quarters after her scintillating performance in 'Parineeta', is all set to have a great 2006 ahead.
Her first release of the year would be Munnabhai Meets Mahatma Gandhi, sequel to 2004's huge success 'Munnabhai MBBS' where she stars opposite Sanjay Dutt.
It would be interesting to see how she transforms herself by switching over from a drama genre to a comedy film.
Next to come would be 'Eklavya', yet another Vidhu Vinod Chopra film, where she would be sharing screen with likes of Amitabh Bachchan, Sanjay Dutt and Saif Ali Khan.
Things should take a peak this Diwali for her when she would be seen in Nikhil Advani's feel good multistarrer 'Salaam E Ishq: A Tribute to Love' in which she is paired opposite John Abraham.
Even down south things are taking good shape for her as she comes along with none other than Kamal Hassan for 'Dasavatharam'.
After two months and 20 days of rest after his surgery Amitabh Bachchan has resumed working again.
He started work by singing a song for music director Aadesh Shrivastava for Ravi Chopra’s film, Baabul.
We wish this singing start go well for him.
With the news Bollywood is buzzing with delight and work has started to pile in front of him.
Soon Amitabh will start dubbing for Vidhu Vinod Chopra’s Eklavya, the project which has been delayed a month.
Then he has plans for some more singing!
The song will feature both Amitabh and Abhishek and has music by Vishal-Shekhar (I think they are looking for another Kajra Re).
Rohan Sippy is producing the song for a private Album.
Although Amitabh has started working, he is taking it easy.
The actor said, “I’m going to take one step at a time. I’m starting with what is less stressful and what does not require me to go to the studios. I will be undergoing my final tests at the end this month or the first week of March. Then we will start allotting my dates for film shoots.”
At the beginning he will complete his pending films, Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna (where a small part of his work is remaining) and Ravi Chopra’s Baabul.
Then he will work on Balkrishnan’s ‘Cheeni Kam’, Ram Gopal Varma’s ‘Sholay’, ‘Sarkar 2′ and ‘Ek’ which are in various stages of pre-production.
From the Taj Mahal to Bollywood, Will Smith wants to know all about India.
“Just recently I got to know the number of films Bollywood makes in a year — a whopping 800. And each with it’s share of song, music, dance and drama,” says Smith.
He goes on to add, “I am simply so enticed to be part of it.”
Indeed, Smith has his preferences clear.
“I would do anything that Aishwarya Rai will be part of". "I so love her".
Of the films that he’s seen so far, Smith talks greatly of Sarkar with special mention of Big B, “I found him much bigger than I had imagined him to be.”
Smith has drawn up plans of meeting some of the Bollywood bigwigs as well. “I want to educate myself as much as possible. I also want to explore the possibility of a collaboration between both the film industries.”
It was a Sunday morning delight — Hollywood actor Will Smith was in the capital.
Smith turned out to be as ‘composedly comic’ in person as he comes across in his movies.
Whether he was professing his fondnessfor Aishwarya Rai or his passion for chicken tikka masala or the big brand called Bollywood, the chit-chat was redolent with a generous smattering of his trademark humour.
Smith confessed to being very excited about his seven-day stay in India. He said, “Ever since childhood I’ve heard a lot about the culture and colours of this country. I will try and learn, as much as possible. Though, I am being constantly cautioned by my wife to leave out some things for our next visit together.”
Elaborating about the group he is travelling with, Smith said, “I am here with 13 people, including my son, nephew, friends, and manager. And though I am going to be busy with the gruelling work schedule, they for sure are going to have a lot of fun.”
So apart from the work, which includes, launching Sony Entertainment’s new English film channel, Pix, and a guest appearance on one of the Indian Idol episodes, Smith plans to see the Taj Mahal.
“I also want to taste the authentic chicken tikka masala. It’s another must on my agenda.”
Bollywood diva Madhuri Dixit is rehearsing with Saroj Khan for a special performance at 51st Fair One Filmfare awards to be held at Mumbai.
After a gap of four years, the two dancing queens have teamed up for a performance.
The last time they worked together was in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's magnum opus "Devdas".
She is currently in town for a two month vacation along with her sons. She will soon be joined by her husband.
The entire performance will be prepared in four days flat. She is quite excited about it and is looking forward to meeting all her colleagues in Bollywood.
The other major performance will be by Abhishek Bachchan and Ashwarya Rai, who are currently in the headlines for their so-called marriage plans.
American actor and musician Will Smith will also attend the event and entertain his fans in India.
Aishwarya Rai and Abhishek Bachchan added more grist to the rumour mill by walking in together around midnight for a party hosted by the Sahara family.
Ash and Abhishek are in Lucknow for the shooting of J P Dutta’s Umrao Jaan .
However, sources say, too much is being read into a simple social affair.
Salman Khan has been sentenced to a year's imprisonment for an eight-year old case.
Salman was sentenced after he allegedly killed two chinkaras, a kind of deer, while shooting for the film Hum Saath Saath Hain in 1998.
He was one of the accused -- with other actors like Sonali Bendre, Saif Ali Khan, Tabu, Neelam and Satish Shah -- who participated in the hunting. The others have been acquitted.
Salman is currently shooting for six films, including big budget banners such as Ravi Chopra's 'Babul', 'Jaaneman', 'Salaam-e-Ishq', and 'Marigold', which is an international venture.
Salman's possible arrest puts at risk not only the estimated Rs 75 crore invested in these films, but also another Rs 25 crore in advertisements and promotions that the actor is currently endorsing, trade analysts said.
Salman has found himself in worse situations in the past.
He was sentenced to 17 days imprisonment in late 2002 after he allegedly killed a pavement dweller in a drunken driving case. This is a charge Salman denied, saying he was not driving the car at the time the accident occurred.
He is already on bail for that case, currently in progress in the lower courts.
Kareena Kapoor and Shahid Kapur have recently started talking about their two-year relationship and are frequently seen together in publicity campaigns and movie premiers.
But there is one thing that Kareena doesn’t like about Shahid that is his habit of sleeping.
According to Bebo, Shahid doesn't give up his sleep for anything or anyone.
Kareena, as reported by a daily, says that if she didn't go to his home to wake him, he'd sleep through the day.
"If I don't go to his house and wake him up, he will sleep endlessly," she said.
Kareena feels that even if Hollywood star Angelina Jolie was next to him, Shahid would politely tell her he needed to catch his sleep and didn't want to be disturbed.
Real-life lovers Shahid Kapur and Kareena Kapoor will come together on screen again in a romantic comedy about a town hustler.
"Chhup Chhup Ke" (In Hiding) is directed by Priyadarshan, who also made the successful 2000 comedy "Hera Pheri" (Swindling).
Despite their off-screen romance, the couple's on-screen chemistry has failed to ignite audiences _ they starred together two years ago in a thriller "Fida" (Smitten) _ which was a flop.
"Chup Chup Ke" is a comedy of errors driven by mistaken identities.
Shahid plays a small town hustler who fakes his own death to get insurance money.
"Priyan (Priyadarshan) has handled the story very differently. Even Kareena is different from whatever she has done so far," producer Ronnie Screwala was quoted as saying by the newspaper.
Though everyone associated with the film 'Othello' is tightlipped, news about stars jumping into Vishal Bhardwaj's Shakespearean bandwagon continues to leak out.
For Omkara his rural North Indian adaptation of Iago , the director has zeroed in on an actor to play Cassius, the Roman emperor from Shakespeare's tragedy.
And it's none other than Vivek Oberoi!
Vivek has just completed Indra Kumar's Pyare Mohan . Vivek is gung-ho about his second comedy with 'Induji'.
"It going great grins," Vivek puns from Bangkok, adding, "Some people had a problem identifying with the risqué humour in Induji's Masti. In Pyare Mohan there'll be no such problem."
The vibes between 'Pyare' and 'Mohan' Vivek and Fardeen are perfect. Nowadays Vivek makes sure he hits it off well with his male co-stars…John Abraham in Kaal, Aftab and Ritesh in Masti are some of his lately acquired pals.
After south Indian actress, Khushboo, who was in the midst of controversy recently for making some remarks on 'premarital sex',Bollywood actresses, Shilpa Shetty and Reema Sen, got into trouble, when a city court today issued them summons in connection with the publication of "obscene pictures" in a Tamil eveninger.
Acting on a complaint made by an advocate, T Dakshinamoorthy, Judicial Magistrate Seetaraman, directed the actresses and the publisher of the eveninger, 'Tamil Murasu', R N Murugan, to appear before the court on March 10.
The petitioner had submitted that the paper had carried "sexy blow ups" and "medium posters" in its issues on seven days in December and January.
This has violated Section 3 and 4 of the Indecent Representation of women(prohibition) Act and Sec 3 of Young persons Harmful Publications Act and IPC sec 292 (Sale of Obscene books), the petition said.
Apart from "misleading the youth, the pictures would also increase violence against women", the petition added.
The pictures should be confiscated under the provisions of the Press and registration of Books Act, 1967, it further demanded.
On a day the rumour mills rang the wedding bells for Aishwarya Rai and Abhishek Bachchan, fellow Bollywood star Rani Mukherjee sought shelter at Lord Krishna’s feet in temple town Ujjain.
Rani was in an uncharacteristically foul mood. "Babli" repeatedly lost her cool and kept accusing the media of circulating "unsubstantiated stuff".
The only time she smiled was when former Madhya Pradesh chief minister Babulal Gaur addressed her as "Rani Gopi Mukherjee".
The actress, who was wearing a green sari, urged Gaur to watch her upcoming film, Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna (never say goodbye).
Karan Johar’s film shows Rani (married to Abhishek in the film) having an affair with Shahrukh Khan (married to Preity Zinta). Amitabh Bachchan plays a flamboyant character in the film.
According to the Bollywood grapevine, Rani is having an affair with Abhishek, considered the country’s most eligible bachelor.
The dusky beauty — whom Gaur toasted as a rare combination of beauty and brains — has a lot going for her.
Bachchan senior and wife Jaya are said to be extremely fond of her, with some friends of the family even claiming that Jaya views her as "perfect bahu material".
Besides, Rani and Abhishek continue to be "good friends" and, unlike the former Miss World, she is younger than him.
Jaya’s family — her mother Indira Bhaduri lives in Bhopal — refused to comment on the rumours.
Valentine’s Day fever is in the air. And what better time to look back and smile at those umpteen number of crushes.
Whether we like to admit it or not, all of us have been bitten by the love bug, sometime or the other in our lives.
The first love or the first crush is always something else. It’s a different feeling altogether.
Ask Celina Jaitley that! The first crush is someone we never forget. And nor will Celina!
It was not some yuppie boy next door but an army officer. He was actually a second lieutenant, her dad’s assistant.
Coming from an army background, Celina always had some association or the other with army personnel.
Reminiscing about this first crush, she fondly recalls that she would follow him around like a little puppy!
Now she practically has half the male population following her around like puppies!
She confesses that because of her upbringing, she has always been attracted to men in uniforms.
So if you want to win brownie points with Celina you know what to do!
Now that was about her first crush… Quiz her about her last crush and she wistfully reveals that the last person was not a crush, but was love. Unfortunately, things didn’t work out.
Celina has done many mushy things for love. In fact, she once wrote a letter to the love of her life.
Now when she looks back, she thinks she was silly and sentimental. But at that time, the reply to that letter meant the world to her.
We all have done stupid things for love! And like all women, Celina too gets wistful when talking about love and matters of the heart.
A case of a love lost, but definitely not forgotten.

Producer Raj Kanwar’s forthcoming film will star Bipasha Basu and Tanushree Dutta.
The actresses will play screen sisters in a romantic comedy to be directed by Vivek Sharma.
The hunt for the second leading man continues, after Viveik Oberoi was signed on last week.
Sources say that talks are on with Riteish Deshmukh to recreate the Masti magic.
Boman Irani will have his spell as the father of the two daughters.
Says director Sharma, “Bipasha and Tanushree look so convincing together that we never spared a second thought over the casting.”Aamir Khan inspiresThe plot revolves around the two sisters who are diametrically opposite to each other in thoughts and how they evolve as better human beings over the course of the story.
The conflict arises when past incidents continue to govern Kajal (Bipasha) who is overprotective about her college-going sibling Aditi (Tanushree).
Aditi believes in living life king-size and wants to get a taste of everything. She lands up in Goa for a holiday with her boyfriend Raghu, which has her doting sister follow her to ensure her well-being.
In an attempt to have time to themselves, the couple hires John (Viveik), a local youth to distract Kajal. Adds the director, “The character of John is inspired from Aamir Khan’s Rangeela act.”
Bong bonding Tanushree is thrilled about sharing screen space with Bipasha. “I’m looking forward to landing up on the sets and facing the camera with Bipasha.
I keep hunting for Bengalis wherever I go, only for the gupshup in our mother tongue and of course the dabba, which will have ethnic cuisine.
Apart from that it’s an honour to be a part of a film that has such accomplished actors. I also plan to take a tip or two from Bipasha and Viveik.”
Producer Raj Kanwar points it to his penchant for trying unheard-of combinations. He says, “I have always tried experimenting with on-screen pairs. Be it Lara-Priyanka-Akshay in Andaaz or Akshay-Katrina in Hum Ko Deewane Kar Gaye, you can see the thought that goes behind it.
People have already started raving about Akshay-Katrina jodi, I’m sure Bipasha and Tanushree will have an equal impact on the audience.”
The "nexus" between Bollywood and the underworld more than 15 years ago was on Friday night laid bare by a private TV channel.
The channel claimed that almost 22 film personalities were caught on tape "not only enjoying the hospitality of the 'D' family but also dancing to the tunes of the world's most dreaded criminal Dawood Ibrahim".
The channel said the tape dated back to 1990 when celebrities from the tinsel town went to entertain the "D" family.
The occasion was the first birthday party of the son of Anees Ibrahim, Dawood's brother.
The two brothers were also seen in the party.
The first episode of the three-part programme named Godfather showed personalities like the famous comedian late Mehmood, music director Anu Malik, Shabbir Kumar, Kumar Sanu, Adhesh Srivastava and Gulshan Grover.
The release claimed that the 22 Bollywood personalities included six lead actors, four villains, two lead actresses, two famous comedians, three playback singers and two music directors.
It said the birthday party was held at a five star hotel in Dubai in September 1990.
Two more episodes would be shown on Saturday and Sunday.
A star gives a first-hand account of how Aishwarya floored birthday boy Abhishek.
Aishwarya Rai looked slightly tense when she arrived at Abhishek's birthday.
But later, she hugged AB-junior before gawking onlookers, saying, "Hey, birthday boy!" Then Abhishek escorted her to the party, holding her hand.
Big-B and Jaya were also waiting for Ash. "Jaya Bachchan introduced her to all her relatives.
Shweta made it a point to be around Ash, seeing to it that she was comfortable.
Most of Abhishek's heroines were also present at the party, including Priyanka Chopra. Priyanka (whom Abhishek prefers to call Piggy Chops) was seen giggling away.
Abhishek hugged Priyanka too, and kissed her hand. ...Ash observed this from a distance, later she was seen in a whispered conversation with Abhishek.
No one knows what passed between the two of them, but after this converstaion, everyone noticed a change in Abhishek's behaviour. He became more formal with his female co-stars.
This was probably the first time that Ash was so open, before the entire film industry, about her fondness for Abhishek.
After Abhishek Bachchan cut the huge chocolate cake he made it a point in give a piece to Ash, after Amitabh and Jaya.
Ash brought a small gift for Abhishek which, of course, he didn't open at the party.
The two danced to Right here right now and Kajra re.
Every time Ash tried to leave the dance floor, Abhishek dragged her back. TOI

Kareena Kapoor feels lucky these days as she has just bagged another prestigious historical movie of a famous filmmaker like Shyam Benegal.
She is so excited about her new assignment that she recalls it during her sleep
“If I do justice to my role in this movie, it will certainly become a milestone in my filmi career,” she said.
Vivek Oberoi who was paired with her in ‘Yuva’ will again act opposite Kareena in this movie.
Kareena is fully aware that she doesn’t have many hit movies to her credit, but she is happy that she has played all types of roles.
If she can play a prostitute in Chameli , she has also played a successful housewife in Aitraaz .
Kareena is glad that she has been learning fast by playing different types of characters.
Currently Kareena is busy shooting for two films, Vishal Bharadwaj’s Othello starring Saif Ali Khan, Viveik Oberoi and Ajay Devgan where she plays Desdemona and Harry Baweja ‘Love Story 2050′ opposite his son Harman.
Her next release will be the Subhash Ghai production ‘36 China Town’ directed by Abbas-Mustan, where she is paired opposite Shahid Kapur and has Akshaye Khanna as the co-star.
Hrithik Roshan was the first choice for Rang De Basanti and all possible pressure was brought upon him to persuade him to accept the film.
But Hrithik actually did turn down the venture directed by Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra .
Even Aamir Khan made a trip to Hrithik to get him to sign on. But Hrithik stuck to his guns, and refused.
And if you are wondering that why Aamir was pursuing Hrithik for the role let us tell you that Hrithik wasn’t being offered Aamir’s role.
Hrithik was being offered the role of Karan ( Anupam Kher ’s son in the film) , eventually played by Siddharth .
Of course, Hrithik’s firmness worked wonders for Siddharth, who got the rare opportunity to showcase his acting prowess in his very first Hindi film.
Earlier, the junior Roshan had refused to do the role of the younger brother of Shah Rukh Khan in Main Hoon Na , which was eventually done by his brother-in-law Zayed Khan .
Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan reportedly told a film magazine that he's contemplating a wedding with his Italian girlfriend, Rosa, but he does not yet have a date in mind.
Last year Saif separated from his wife of 14 years, Amrita Singh. Saif and Amrita have two children.
During an interview with Indian film magazine, Stardust, Saif was asked if he had any plans to marry Rosa.
In reply Saif said, "That is the direction I'm thinking about. But we have not set a date yet."
During the course of the interview Saif dwelt on the similarities between the Indian and Italian cultures that have brought the couple closer.
Saif was quoted as saying, "Women from southern Italy and India are closer than you would imagine in terms of family."
Saif started dating Rosa soon after his separation from Amrita Singh.
Talking about his ex-wife, Saif was reported to have said that they both have put their differences behind them.
South African President Thabo Mbeki paid tribute to Indian actor Anil Kapoor ,hailing the Bollywood star as a "global brand ambassador" for the African nation.
The Pukar actor, 46, received the honour in a ceremony in Johannesburg during Mbeki's annual state of the nation address to parliament.
Mbeki, 63, said, "I am honoured to acknowledge the presence in the gallery of an outstanding human being and friend of our country and people, the leading Indian Bollywood actor, Anil Kapoor.
"All of us are deeply moved that Anil Kapoor, a citizen of the beloved land of Mahatma Gandhi, has agreed to serve as one of South Africa's global brand ambassadors, committed to mobilise the peoples of the world to support our efforts to make a success of our liberation."
With actors like Sunjay Dutt, Ajay Devgan, Suneil Shetty, Saif Ali Khan, Aamir Khan and many others turning producers, it is Aftab’s turn now.
Yes, the Mast boy is ready to add another leaf to his career.
However, Aftab is not keen on revealing much about the project.
“It is too early to talk about it. Things are at a nascent stage and I really cannot divulge much about it. Yes, I am turning producer!”
However, sources confirm that Glenn, who had earlier directed Aftab in Jane Kya Hoga Kya, will be directing the film. And Aftab in all likelihood will play the hero in the film. The hunt for heroine is currently going on.”
The movie, if sources are to be believed, will go on floor some time in April.
Aftab, whose three films are expected to release this year, was last seen in Ram Gopal Varma’s Mr Ya Miss in a special guest appearance.
He will be seen in RGV’s Darwaza Bandh Rako, Vikram Bhatt’s Ankahee, Subhash Ghai’s Shaadi Se Pehle, Speed and a couple of other projects.
College days are always considered as golden days of ones life. Bunking lectures just to hang out with friends is common among all students. That’s what gave the VJ turned actress Amrita Arora an ‘Outstanding’ student tag in college. Here Amrita reminisces her college days.
Being younger sister of Malaika Arora she has always received that extra attention in Jai Hind College. “Since my sister was my senior in Jai Hind, people were quite curious to know who Malaika Arora’s sister was. So the attention I got on the first day of college was overwhelming. I’ll never forget that day”, Amrita recalls.
It not only helped to seek attention but also to get monetary help from her elder sister. “My mom used to give me 500 bucks a week, but of course I used to spend it all in a day. Luckily since Malaika was in the same college, she used to help me out when I was broke.” She quips.
Looking back to her college days the actress memorizes that she used to enjoy making friends. Also enjoyed hanging out with them outside the Jai Hind, Sydhenam & H.R. College campus.
Revealing her naughty aspect of personality she recalls that she was blacklisted and there was a system where one could ‘hire parents’ for Rs. 150. But she failed as her parents were quite well known in college because of Malaika. And she got busted by the principal that day.
Film star Vivek Oberoi has said advertisements were a good source of revenue and he would not mind doing ad campaigns as long as they earned him remunaration.
In reply to a poser here, Vikek claimed his latest TV ad on Babool toothpaste was only a part of his effort to earn money.
‘I like work…I do not mind working in ad campaigns as long as they are appealing and give good returns,'’
He said selling toothpaste, supplementary food or motorbikes was all the same provided the campaign was appealing.
While refusing to comment on the possibility of him starring with former Miss World Aishwarya Rai in a Bollywood film, Vivek said he was currently working on ‘’Pyare Mohan'’ — a comedy and action-adventure ‘’Naksha'’ with Sunny Deol.
Even while Rang De Basanti is creating waves across the country, the film’s leading man has moved on to his next film.
Never one to rest on past laurels, we hear Aamir Khan is already neck deep in Fanaah, which also happens to be Kajol’s comeback film.
In fact, the cast and crew, we are told is all set to fly off to Poland for a grueling shooting schedule.
Well, coming so soon after his marriage, we don’t know whether wife Kiran Rao-Khan will be accompanying him to the freezing climes of Poland, but we would definitely advise it!
For all those wondering what Rakesh Roshan would do next to outdo the 'magic' of Koi Mil Gaya, the wait seems to be over.
And for those who've seen the teaser promos of 'Krrish' on air, it promises to be much more 'supermagical'.
And even batman might baulk at this one, but superheroes beware. No one ever looked as good in a caped coat and cat mask as Hrithik Roshan is in this one.
And he's literally leaping in the air and flying high - pumped with powers that belie the normal Hindi film hero. His superman act in dad's sequel is really impressive - special effects and all.
