Perfumes and designer labels have been launched after some of Bollywood’s biggest names, but this is probably the first time that a cake has been named after a star.

Confectioner Milanda Jagtiani has named one of her specially made cakes after Bobby Deol, so that whoever wants to order the tall, dark and handsome creation has only to say, "I want a Bobby Deol cake," and it will delivered within two days.

Says Milanda, who owns the Sante food store in Bandra, "It started three years ago, when a friend of Bobby’s ordered a special made-to-order cake for him. She said he loves cheesecake, chocolate mousse and brownie nuts, so could I make a cake with all his favorite ingredients?

Once I did it, and she gave it to him, not just Bobby, but many other people started ordering it, too. Each time we made it, I had to list out all the ingredients, so finally, we decided to name it the Bobby cake."

Says Bobby, "It’s very sweet of Milanda to name a cake after me; I feel very special. I guess I have ordered that cake so often that they finally decided to name it after me," he laughs.

"My sons and nephews all love gooey, chocolate cakes, not the white ones. We have many birthdays in our family, so we keep ordering this cake. I guess what makes it more special is that it’s made with a lot of love."

In fact, China makes it possible for millions of Indians to get new Bollywood releases at dirt cheap rate," he adds.

"There is a phenomenal demand for Bollywood films in the entire of Africa and Central Asia."

Much delayed film ‘Lips - The Kiss Of Death’ has finally got an ‘A’ certificate from the censor, but at the cost of major sex scenes.

Director Sameer Malkan had to chop off all the sleazy sequences from the film to satisfy the Censor board.

Tv actor Anuj saxena teams up with gorgeous Maushmi Udeshi in the film, which has been shot entirely in New York.

Since the censors have cleared the film, chances are ‘Lips’ may see the light of the day soon.

Remember the notorious 'Anara' blue film scandal which rocked Jammu & Kashmir a couple of years back, another sex scandal-this time involving minor girls, politicians and high ranking J&K government officials, has rocked the state.

Police clashed with demonstrators in Srinagar on Friday as an angry mob razed the home of a woman - Sabeena - suspected of running a prostitution ring that offered teenage girls to government officials and politicians.

Sabeena's police remand has been extended till May 13. She and four others were arrested last week after videos and multimedia messages on mobile phones showing nude girls and amateur porn films began circulating in Srinagar.

Nearly 2,000 people demolished a house owned by the woman, at Habbakadal in downtown Srinagar. In Chinkral Mohalla, protesters razed a property she owns.

Several protesters and policemen were injured in street scuffles as hundreds of people marched through parts of Srinagar, alleging police inaction against the accused,police fired warning shots and tear gas to disperse the mobs.

Earlier this week, Chief Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad asked the CBI to probe the matter, citing the alleged involvement of influential figures in the scandal.

Two minor girls, who were forcibly filmed for a CD, have alleged that two former ministers, bureaucrats, prominent businessmen and security officials are involved in the scandal.

The two claimed that at least 43 young girls were blackmailed and forced into prositution. The Jammu and Kashmir High Court has taken up the case, taking suo moto cognizance of blackmail and coercion of teenaged girls into flesh trade.

The CBI team is to reach Srinagar on Saturday and take over the case.

But after crossing 30, Urmila feels that it’s not the end of the road for her in Bollywood.

Age is not a factor for actresses to get more film offers and real acting starts only after 30.

"Age is no bar ... Aishwarya Rai who has crossed 30 is getting more films. In fact, film actresses become more popular after crossing the age of 30," Matondkar, who was here to inaugurate a garment showroom, told newspersons.

She said she was getting more films now and her next movie 'Speed' would be releasing shortly.

The 'Rangeela' girl said she was also acting in a film directed by eminent filmmaker Shyam Benegal but the name of the venture has not been announced yet.

No Entry to Big B & Tabu In Shopping Mall !

Bollywood Superstar Amitabh Bachchan along with crew members and other co workers notably actress Tabu are denied entry into a posh shopping mall in Gurgaon on the outskirts of New Delhi for shooting of the film “Cheeni Kum” .

The shooting was to take place on April 28, which finally didn’t materialize, and Amitabh Bachchan, Tabu and other co-workers were waiting in the van with full make-up for the shooting.

Sunil Manchanda, (producer) diligently took prior permission for shooting from the builders — Malibu Towne Estate Ltd (MTEL) but the bone of contention is : who has the authority to give permission for the shooting, Residents Welfare Association (RWA) or MTEL .

But the director of the film,Balakrishan, did not hide his displeasure, "There was some ego issue between the MTEL and the RWA. Nothing else. Anyway, we didn’t waste time and shot the film at another location and wrapped up the Delhi schedule. We are in Mumbai now and will shoot here"

How much money do the big Bollywood hits rake in at the box office? The question has ballooned into a huge spat in tinsel town.

Several producers, including Yash Chopra of Yashraj Films and Karan Johar of Dharma Productions, are considering legal action after ads put out by the Rang De Basanti producers claimed it was the second largest grosser of the decade after Zee’s Gadar -- Ek Prem Katha.

The producers of Rang De Basanti -- UTV Motion Pictures and Rakyesh Mehra -- had in the ads placed in two leading dailies claimed the Aamir Khan hit had made total net box office collections in the domestic circuit of over Rs 50 crore leaving behind other big titles including Koi Mil Gaya (Rakesh Roshan -- Rs 49 crore), Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham (Johar -- Rs 45 crore) and Bunty Aur Babli (Yash Chopra -- Rs 42 crore).

Both Johar and Chopra are believed to have taken exception at the public pulling down of their successful movie projects by the Rang De Basanti team without checking the veracity of the revenue figures published in the ads. Both are believed to have shot off legal notices as well.

UTV chairman Ronnie Screwvala said things had calmed down after he had apologised to Johar and Aditya Chopra. "I have personally apologised, and the dispute is over. We were excited about UTV’s first big success; we had no intention of showing other producers in poor light," Screwvala told HT.

"If he has issued an apology, I have not seen it," responded Johar. On whether he was contemplating legal action, Johar said, "I cannot comment on that right now."

Roshan, on the other hand said "Ronnie does not seem to be aware of the correct figures for my films. But I am not planning to take any legal action against UTV right now. I am too preoccupied with the post-production of Krrish." Chopra, away in Paris, was not available for comment.

A producer has filed an arbitration suit against Bollywood actress Divya Dutta for not honouring the terms of the contract both had entered into.

Sameer Vashi, a Mumbai-based producer, had signed on Dutta for his play 'Muze Rang De', but the latter backed out of the project because of differences with co-actress and Vashi's wife Ayesha Jhulka, his advocate Mukesh Vashi told reporters.

Since Dutta has broken the contract, Vashi filed an arbitration suit in the High Court, claiming compensation of over Rs 73 lakhs.

Vashi claimed that he suffered great financial loss due to Dutta's quitting the play as he had to cancel scheduled shows in USA.

Dutta's defence is that she could not act in the play because she was not keeping well. But Vashi's lawyer have contradicted this, pointing out that she has accepted other projects, including a film with director J P Dutta.

He had also sought attachment of Dutta's property -- so that compensation can be recovered if the court upholds his case, but Dutta's lawyer opposed it, and instead gave an undertaking to the court today that she would not sell her flat in Juhu until the case is disposed off.

"A Little Song, A Little Dance: Taking Bollywood Seriously," an event sponsored by the Center for Asian Studies on Wednesday, April 19, helped portray song and dance sequences as more than just entertainment.

Arnab Chakladar, an assistant professor of English and comparative literature, examined the representation of Western and Indian cultures in the singing and dancing of Bollywood films during his lecture.

"This aspect of Bombay cinema is usually taken as the most frivolous attraction," he said.

According to Chakladar, Americans commonly misconstrue Bollywood as encompassing all of Indian cinema, but the term Bollywood is specific to films made in Bombay....read more

I teach a minor how to interact with the opposite sex. His father appoints me when he feels that his son needs someone who could help him to come out of this fear.

He cannot interact with the opposite sex. He stammers and hesitates to talk about it and I help him to overcome from his inabilities.

I boost the confidence level of this minor and clear his mental blocks and inhibitions".

There are some sequences in movie where, while teaching the son, his father too falls in love with me. He too wants to be my student and the whole thing turns out to be hilarious.

Saif Ali Khan is unwell and is in the middle of a world tour, but the actor is extremely excited about the launch of a 50-cent stamp with his photograph in Australia.

"I was asked to represent the country and Australia chose to capture that moment on a stamp".

John Abraham injured in a bike crash.

A police complaint has been lodged against actor John Abraham for rash and negligent driving after he allegedly banged his motorcycle into bystanders and injured two persons.

The injured persons were treated at a government hospital in Mumbai and later taken to the police station.

John is being treated at the Lilavati Hospital for injuries.

Abraham, a model-turned-actor, was to undergo a series of tests and would remain under observation at the city's Leelavati Hospital.

His condition was stable, said the official, who declined to identify herself because she is not authorized to speak to the media.

She did not reveal the nature of Abraham's injuries.

The actor's relatives refused to talk to the media.

An FIR has been registered against him at Khar police station.

According to earlier reports, the accident occurred accident late Saturday night in suburban Khar.

Abraham, 33, has said he enjoys riding his bike at night when he's not filming, and tries to ride at least twice a week around one or two in the morning.

He has been voted one of Bollywood's sexiest stars in several polls - made his debut in Indian films three years ago.

In the 2004 Bollywood hit "Dhoom,'' or "Big Bang,'' he plays the leader of biker gang which robs wealthy Bombay businessmen.

Abraham's latest film, "9/2/11'' , a slick story of a rich heir's road journeys in Bombay with a stubborn taxi driver, was a box office hit.

One of Abraham's upcoming films, "Kabul Express,'' was shot largely in Afghanistan.

In it he plays a television journalist covering the war against the Taliban.

In December last year, Abraham developed bronchitis while shooting for the film kabul Express in Afghanistan and had to return to Mumbai mid-way for treatment.

But Udita is now averse to doing mutli-starrers like ‘Zeher’ because: "While doing multi-starrer movies, there has always been a problem of getting equal share. It has happened with many other actors too. So, I am not keen on signing such projects".

"Even in case of a hit, you don't earn the credit you deserve. But, after the ‘Zeher’ fight, I decided to do films where there are less chances of clash for roles and shares. I would rather wait for a lead role than sign some big multi-starrer film in a hurry."

A ten-day film festival, dedicated to Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan, is attracting droves of Big B fans in the city.

Despite initial hiccups when it started on March 31, the Pink City film festival is going on well, the event's Creative Director Anoop Srivastava said on Sunday.

The venue at the Ambedkar Circle in Jaipur showcases sets of the film Black, costumes worn by the actor, rare photographs as also a painting exhibition by local artist Rajpal Singh who has depicted Bachchan in various moods.

Two books Amitabh Tujhe Salaam edited by Shyam Mathur and Main Amitabh Bachchan Bol Raha Hoon by Sumant Mishra were also released during the festival, which concludes on April 9.

Actors Govinda and Sunil Shetty had enthralled audiences with mesmerising performances at the festival's opening ceremony on March 31.

Jennifer is scheduled to spend three days in the country’s largest city, Mumbai.

The visit will follow her scheduled mini-tour of the Middle East, which will include stops in Dubai and Jordan.

"Because of her Latin American heritage, there is more of an interest in understanding everything Indian,” Joseph explained.

Fashion designers seem to have been smitten by the Bollywood bug with the India Fashion Week here featuring a number of actors walking the ramp.

While John Abraham catwalked for designer Rocky S on Tuesday, it was the presence of the controversial Salman Khan that came as a surprise.

Later in the evening, celebrated Bollywood designer Manish Malhotra had a large film contingent comprising Jaya Bachchan, Kirron Kher, Malaika Arora Khan, Amrita Arora Bobby Deol, Karan Johar, Sridevi, Boney Kapoor among others cheering his collection titled 'Freedom'.

Actors Kajol and Preity Zinta even walked the ramp wearing Malhotra's designer wear.

In the afternoon, the shows of designers Bennu Sehgal and Maheka Mirpuri had Arbaaz Khan and Koena Mitra strutting their stuff on the ramp.

One should expect to see more of Bollywood in the coming shows, sources said.

The India Fashion Week, which is on till Saturday, is showcasing designers like Ritu Beri, Sabyasachi Mukherjee, Manish Malhotra, Suneet Varma, Wendell Rodricks, Rocky S, Ashish Soni and Priyadarshini Rao.

Gangster Abu Salem's reported 'confession' during his brain-mapping and narco tests that he was given a 'supari' by actress Manisha Koirala to kill her secretary Ajit Dewani has set Bollywood and the media world abuzz.

Sources told that Salem had indeed named the actress.

However, Jai Jeet Singh, additional commissioner of the anti-terrorist squad, has roundly rubbished the reports. "This is just speculation," he asserted.

"The forensic report is with me in a sealed envelope. Nobody knows its contents. I would just say that the news is false."

According to TV reports, Salem confessed that he had killed Dewani after being "approached" by Koirala who had had a dispute with her secretary.

Bollywood sources said that Manisha and Dewani used to quarrel over money, but that their dispute was sorted out in the presence of a producer much before Dewani's murder in June 2001 by two Salem shooters.

Koirala is in Australia and was unavailable for comment. Her secretary, Michael Thapa, said he was having difficulty contacting her.

Narco and brain-mapping tests have no evidentiary value, but are used by the police to aid investigations.

A senior ATS officer said the cops were investigating only the Pradeep Jain murder case, as per the assurance given to Portugal.

However, the ATS can pass on the narco analysis report to the crime branch, which is probing the Dewani case.

"It does not serve anyone if such sensitive information is prematurely publicised," said advocate Majeed Memon.

"What Salem is said to have stated in the test is only information in the eyes of the law, and must be verified." TOI

Bollywood actress Kashmira Shah has bagged the 'Frownie Award' for "Best Close Up" in her film 'My Bollywood Bride' at the Delray Beach Film Festival.

"We're proud to be one of the first film festivals in the world to recognise actresses whose close-ups are truly a thing of natural beauty, or should be," Delray Beach Film Festival Director
Michael Posner said at the ceremony on Wednesday.

The award, given to the best close-up of an actress in a film, bears the inscription "I'm ready for my close-up,".

It was created by the makers of legendary Frownies Facial Pads, a non-surgical face lift used by Hollywood film stars for decades.

The movie "My Bollywood Bride" directed by Rajeev Virani was released last year.

In the main lead are Hollywood actor Jason Lewis and Bollywood starlet Kashmira Shah.

Just like Bhuvan's team beat the British in a cricket match in 'Lagaan' , the IIFA XI , beat Britain's Sports Relief XI in a charity match , held at Bombay's Brabourne stadium on March 16.

To the credit of the IIFA XI , it mostly consisted of Bollywood stars , while the English team had famous players like Phil Tuffnel and Chris Evans etc.

The Indian team comprised of the star cast of film Money Money Money including actors, Sunil Shetty, Riteish Deshmukh and Anupam Kher.

Joining the cast was filmmaker Rakesh Mehra and actors Arbaaz Khan, Ashmit Patel, Aftab Shivdasani, Madhavan,Venkatesh and former Indian cricket captain Mohammed Azharuddin.

The British line up had rapper Jay Sean, former England spinner Phill Tuffnell, Jack Russell, BBC anchor Jake Humphery, BBC Radio 2 DJ Chris Evans, Nick Knowles and singer Peter Andre.

As in a Hindi film, where the protagonist always wins,the 25-over match was won by Bollywood heroes.

Batting first, IIFA XI scored a total of 229 runs, with Azharuddin top scoring with 64. The Sports Relief team could only manage 166.

Riteish Deshmukh played well scoring 48 runs off 36 balls.

Aftab Shivdasani also played a decent innings scoring 56 runs and also taking a wicket.

On the English side, Phil Tuffnel proved the most effective bowler who claimed three wickets giving 31 runs.

And the bigger surprise came when actor Aftab Shivdasani was announced "Man of the Match".

The stars also made it a point to emphasise that there was no match fixing. They called it "a team game".

"I don’t believe that a team which plays so well could ever fix a game. What was fixed was Rs 1 crore and the ambulance," Shetty quipped.

"A good all round disciplined performance by the entire Indian team, which is why we won," Shivdasani added.

The proceeds of the match will be used for the welfare of technicians and other skilled workers from the film industry.

Many a Bollywood star will be coming together on March 16th, for IIFA’s cricket match.

While one team will consist of Englishmen like Phill Tuffnel, Cris Evans and Peter Andre, the Bollywood team will consist of actors like Aamir Khan, Ashutosh Gowariker, Madhavan, Riteish Deshmukh and Rahul Dev.

Sunil Shetty will captain the Bollywood team.

This event is being organized by Idea, Britain's Sports Relief and IIFA.

The proceeds from this match will go towards the welfare fund of the film industry’s technicians and stuntmen.

A state-of-the-art ambulance will be donated for the purpose of the technicians, on the day of the event.

The organizers hope to raise a crore from this initiative.

The match will be held at Mumbai’s Brabourne Stadium.

Perizaad Zorabian`s first love !

Sanjay, Salman and Fardeen are also quiet well known for their flamboyant, glamorous and reckless lifestyles.

Sanjay has a long history with the law; he was first arrested after the Mumbai blasts of 1992-93.

He was said to have links with underworld don Dawood Ibrahim and his associate Abu Salem.

He was charged with being an accomplice in the blasts. He spent quiet a while in jail.

Sanjay Dutt is the son of star parents Sunil Dutt and Nargis. Sanjay’s mother died of cancer before the release of his first film, Rocky.

When he was arrested after the Mumbai blasts, under TADA (Terrorist and Disruptive activities prevention), Sanjay was at the peak of his career.

Sanjay is known to have a terrible temper.

His case has been going on, but due to lack of proof nothing could really come of it.

However, recently with the deportation and arrest of Abu Salem, the case has once again gained momentum.

In a recent confession to the TADA court, Abu Salem has admitted that he delivered arms and ammunition to Sanjay Dutt, prior to the 1993 blasts in Mumbai.

Abu Salem confessed to the CBI (Central Bureau of Investigation) which was later made public in court, that he delivered three AK-47 rifles and some cartridges to Sanjay.

This is a major blow to Sanjay Dutt as he has always vehemently denied his involvement with the blasts.

Sanjay’s constant pillar of strength and support, his father Sunil Dutt passed away in May last year.

Sanjay will again have to go through the rigmarole with the law enforcement.

Providing a glimpse into the "Bollywood genius" of the 60's, the four-day Classic film Festival 2006 will screen select super hits.

"Five carefully picked classics --'Awaara', 'Sahib Bibi aur Gulam', 'Guide', 'Chaudhvi Ka Chaand' and 'Teesri Kasam'-- which present different shades of romances from the films made during the 1950's and 60s will be screened during the festival," Farouque Sheikh, renowned film and theatre personality, said.

"The idea behind showcasing these films is to make the present-day audience aware about the geniuses that existed in Bollywood in the past," he said.

"The Classic Film Festival has been a huge success for the past two years and so we have decided to make it an annual event," said Sunil Sood, Director, Operations of Hutch.

Sheikh, who will host the festival, which has `Classic Romances' as the theme, said, "Cinema has essentially been a part of the Indian lifestyle and the aesthetics of Bollywood films, especially the songs, attract huge audiences even after 60 years."

"Before the screening of every film Sheikh will himself talk to the audience regarding certain intresting anecdotes, memories and the gossips behind these films," Sood said.

A special CD with the songs of the films being screened is also being released as part of the festival.

The film festival will also be held in Vadodara on March 10-12, Sood added.

Filmfare Awards blackout a deliberate act ?

For two minutes, millions of viewers across the world, were deprived of watching Abhishek Bachchan’s performance during the 51st Filmfare Awards screened on Sony Entertainment television, on February 25.

Screens blacked out with a ‘no signal’ message.

Industry sources close to Bachchan allege sabotage, but Sony TV spokespersons denied the allegation, saying it was a technical hazard.

"The signal vanished twice, once when Aby (Abhishek) had received the awards and was about to give his thank you speech and the second instance when he was to perform on ‘One Love’ and ‘Right Here Right Now’ from the film, Bluffmaster".

"This was deliberately done," alleged a filmmaker close to Abhishek.

A source from Sony claims that during a live telecast there are chances of loss of transmission.

But adds another industry source, "What are they talking about? The show was being screened 90 minutes behind the scheduled actual time."

He says that since Abhishek is hot property, the channel could ensure higher TRPs during the rerun.

Shola Rajachandran of Sony Public Communication confirmed that there was a relay problem from the earth station. "For the first time there was no signal for 20 seconds and the second relay problem occurred for almost one minute."

Meanwhile, Sony TV, swung into fact-finding with a series of meetings all through Monday.

"I can assure you that there was absolutely no technical error at our end. We at Sony have been investigating the blackout at the Filmfare awards, since Sunday," says Anupama Mandloi, programming head, for the channel.

"We're perturbed but are very sure that there was no hitch at our end. Everything ran smoothly and there was no problem with the telecast. We don't know who is responsible for this but we are looking into it," she added.

Quite an interesting list of Bollywood celebrities has been lined up for the closing ceremony of the Commonwealth Games in Melbourne.

The personalities include Aishwarya Rai, Saif Ali Khan, Rani Mukerji, Lara Dutta, Isha Sharvani, Sunidhi Chauhan, Shreya Ghosal, Shankar-Ehsan-Loy and also percussionists Taufiq Quereshi and Sivamani.

Adding some more colors to the event will be 408 dancers from Shaimak Davar’s troupe.

Also, talks are on to make Aamir Khan a part of the event.

Not too much is being revealed about the performance. However, according to sources it will be an eleven minute extravaganza.

The team of Shankar-Ehsaan- Loy have composed a special track titled ‘Chalo Delhi’ for the occasion. The lyrics have been penned by Javed Akhtar. Shaimak Davar will choreograph the entire show

Riya Sen dropped from 'The Bong Connection'

It seems the Sen sister combination of Riya and Raima is not destined to happen. It's final now! Riya Sen is out of 'The Bong Connection'.

Riya, who had re-entered the film (because she could not adjust the dates she had given to Subhash Ghai's film) and made an appearance at the press conference in Kolkata on January 27th, has now been dropped from the project.

Producer Joy Ganguly revealed, "Soon after the conference, Riya shocked us by saying that we should push her dates with us further. We wanted to shoot with her in the US from March 23rd and the entire logistics including the combination dates with other actors, had been worked out."

"She wanted us to shoot with her starting on March 28th because she had to shoot for Mukta Arts Sapna Apna Money Money on those five days. I cannot push the shooting any further. Actually, I was supposed to start with her on March 15th and because of her Mukta Arts commitment, she had promised that she would start on March 23rd. What is the guarantee that she will shoot from March 28th onwards?"

Ganguly says that the production unit called her to inform her that they would have to drop her.

"Riya sent back a message to the director Anjan Dutt and the executive producer Arindam saying that it was okay."

So who will play Riya's role now? "We are zeroing down on a name very soon, but one thing is clear, I need someone who can speak Bengali," the producer says.

Produced under the banner Moxie India, 'The Bong Connection' is 75 per cent in English and the rest in Bengali.

When contacted, Riya said, "Yes, I am not doing 'The Bong Connection'. Mukta Arts is my first priority. And I think I can shoot for 'The Bong Connection' starting on March 26th. If they (Moxie India) cannot adjust the dates for two days, it's their loss."

Ganguly shot back, "We are not at a loss. And I wish her the very best in her future endeavors.

'The Bong Connection' stars Raima Sen, Victor Banerjee, Shayan Munshi and newcomer Param Datta. It is based on the lives of Bengalis living in India, as well as abroad.

After two months and 20 days of rest after his surgery Amitabh Bachchan has resumed working again.

He started work by singing a song for music director Aadesh Shrivastava for Ravi Chopra’s film, Baabul.

We wish this singing start go well for him.

With the news Bollywood is buzzing with delight and work has started to pile in front of him.

Soon Amitabh will start dubbing for Vidhu Vinod Chopra’s Eklavya, the project which has been delayed a month.

Then he has plans for some more singing!

The song will feature both Amitabh and Abhishek and has music by Vishal-Shekhar (I think they are looking for another Kajra Re).

Rohan Sippy is producing the song for a private Album.

Although Amitabh has started working, he is taking it easy.

The actor said, “I’m going to take one step at a time. I’m starting with what is less stressful and what does not require me to go to the studios. I will be undergoing my final tests at the end this month or the first week of March. Then we will start allotting my dates for film shoots.”

At the beginning he will complete his pending films, Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna (where a small part of his work is remaining) and Ravi Chopra’s Baabul.

Smith turned out to be as ‘composedly comic’ in person as he comes across in his movies.

Smith confessed to being very excited about his seven-day stay in India. He said, “Ever since childhood I’ve heard a lot about the culture and colours of this country. I will try and learn, as much as possible. Though, I am being constantly cautioned by my wife to leave out some things for our next visit together.”

Elaborating about the group he is travelling with, Smith said, “I am here with 13 people, including my son, nephew, friends, and manager. And though I am going to be busy with the gruelling work schedule, they for sure are going to have a lot of fun.”

Bollywood diva Madhuri Dixit is rehearsing with Saroj Khan for a special performance at 51st Fair One Filmfare awards to be held at Mumbai.

After a gap of four years, the two dancing queens have teamed up for a performance.

The last time they worked together was in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's magnum opus "Devdas".

She is currently in town for a two month vacation along with her sons. She will soon be joined by her husband.

Salman Khan has been sentenced to a year's imprisonment for an eight-year old case.

Salman was sentenced after he allegedly killed two chinkaras, a kind of deer, while shooting for the film Hum Saath Saath Hain in 1998.

He was one of the accused -- with other actors like Sonali Bendre, Saif Ali Khan, Tabu, Neelam and Satish Shah -- who participated in the hunting. The others have been acquitted.

Salman is currently shooting for six films, including big budget banners such as Ravi Chopra's 'Babul', 'Jaaneman', 'Salaam-e-Ishq', and 'Marigold', which is an international venture.

Salman's possible arrest puts at risk not only the estimated Rs 75 crore invested in these films, but also another Rs 25 crore in advertisements and promotions that the actor is currently endorsing, trade analysts said.

Salman has found himself in worse situations in the past.

He was sentenced to 17 days imprisonment in late 2002 after he allegedly killed a pavement dweller in a drunken driving case.

This is a charge Salman denied, saying he was not driving the car at the time the accident occurred.

He is already on bail for that case, currently in progress in the lower courts.

After south Indian actress, Khushboo, who was in the midst of controversy recently for making some remarks on 'premarital sex', Bollywood actresses, Shilpa Shetty and Reema Sen, got into trouble, when a city court today issued them summons in connection with the publication of "obscene pictures" in a Tamil eveninger.

Acting on a complaint made by an advocate, T Dakshinamoorthy, Judicial Magistrate Seetaraman, directed the actresses and the publisher of the eveninger, 'Tamil Murasu', R N Murugan, to appear before the court on March 10.

The petitioner had submitted that the paper had carried "sexy blow ups" and "medium posters" in its issues on seven days in December and January.

This has violated Section 3 and 4 of the Indecent Representation of women(prohibition) Act and Sec 3 of Young persons Harmful Publications Act and IPC sec 292 (Sale of Obscene books), the petition said.

Apart from "misleading the youth, the pictures would also increase violence against women", the petition added.

The pictures should be confiscated under the provisions of the Press and registration of Books Act, 1967, it further demanded.

Producer Raj Kanwar’s forthcoming film will star Bipasha Basu and Tanushree Dutta.

The actresses will play screen sisters in a romantic comedy to be directed by Vivek Sharma.

The hunt for the second leading man continues, after Viveik Oberoi was signed on last week.

Sources say that talks are on with Riteish Deshmukh to recreate the Masti magic.

Boman Irani will have his spell as the father of the two daughters.

Aditi believes in living life king-size and wants to get a taste of everything. She lands up in Goa for a holiday with her boyfriend Raghu, which has her doting sister follow her to ensure her well-being.

Bollywood 'dancing to Dawood tune'

The "nexus" between Bollywood and the underworld more than 15 years ago was on Friday night laid bare by a private TV channel.

The channel claimed that almost 22 film personalities were caught on tape "not only enjoying the hospitality of the 'D' family but also dancing to the tunes of the world's most dreaded criminal Dawood Ibrahim".

The channel said the tape dated back to 1990 when celebrities from the tinsel town went to entertain the "D" family.

The occasion was the first birthday party of the son of Anees Ibrahim, Dawood's brother.

The two brothers were also seen in the party.

The first episode of the three-part programme named Godfather showed personalities like the famous comedian late Mehmood, music director Anu Malik, Shabbir Kumar, Kumar Sanu, Adhesh Srivastava and Gulshan Grover.

The release claimed that the 22 Bollywood personalities included six lead actors, four villains, two lead actresses, two famous comedians, three playback singers and two music directors.

It said the birthday party was held at a five star hotel in Dubai in September 1990.

Two more episodes would be shown on Saturday and Sunday.

A star gives a first-hand account of how Aishwarya floored birthday boy Abhishek.

Aishwarya Rai looked slightly tense when she arrived at Abhishek's birthday.

But later, she hugged AB-junior before gawking onlookers, saying, "Hey, birthday boy!"
Then Abhishek escorted her to the party, holding her hand.

Big-B and Jaya were also waiting for Ash. "Jaya Bachchan introduced her to all her relatives.

Shweta made it a point to be around Ash, seeing to it that she was comfortable.

Most of Abhishek's heroines were also present at the party, including Priyanka Chopra. Priyanka (whom Abhishek prefers to call Piggy Chops) was seen giggling away.
